PISTOLS

this motif is crazzzzy.

i mean, i never thought that

pistols would be so......

awesome?

i mean, it drives the play when you think about it.
the motif is something mysterious.
and at the same time,
it isn't
it's always there in the book you know?

I was thinking though,
the power within the pistols.
it's so powerful. and idk why.
i mean when you look at it,
in movies or TV and i suppose books,
guns give ppl power to do what ever they want to do.
i think it's amazing yet kind of scary.
idk. just another thought.
aha. ;]

Yeah the way we see pistols in the book is different than how we see it in society. Like although a gun does give you power it also shows how much of a coward you are. Like in fighting movies it usually comes down to the fighting skills, not the ability to pull the trigger. And that's some thing Hedda did Lack a fight and drive to keep on living.

Well pistols show authority in the real world as well. Police officers carry them, as I beleive is what gets them the symbol of authority. Its true that the gun shows that you kind of like a coward, but gives you power

I feel you, I feel. And it's funny that once Hedda gets rid of one of her pistols (gives it to Lovborg) it gets used against her. Its like all of her power was in the pistol, and once it was gone, it took her power with it. I mean, think about it. Hedda had the pistol, she had the power. Brack found the pistol, he got the power. Wow, the pistol is crazy powerful. So that means that Hedda never really had any power. The power was in the pistol. Uh?
